Water Purification

Puricificación de agua

Universal access to safe water affects all aspects of development worldwide, and links to the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDG). Some 2200 million people around the world do not have safe water. This gap
is a key factor that combines with the economic growth of the regions and the eradication of poverty.
Indeed, it is estimated that by 2050 the economic growth of some regions could be reduced by up to 6%
of GDP. This project contributes to the SDG by developing a numerical-experimental methodology for
fabricating a novel membrane (ENMs) that will serve as a filter element to improve water quality. We firmly believe that clean water directly helps to transform lives and prevent needless deaths. Healthy children become healthier adults who can make a greater contribution to the planet.
